The study of the Resocialisation Pedagogy programme prepares experts at the master's level, with full qualifications for direct pedagogical and counselling activities in facilities focused on resocialisation activities, e.g. in prisons, detention facilities, post-penitentiary care facilities, institutional education facilities, low-threshold centres, etc.
According to the valid legislation of the relevant ministries, the graduate is fully qualified for the activities of an educator in school facilities (MEYS) and a probation and mediation service official (MS).
Within the Prison Service of the Czech Republic, according to internal departmental regulations, the study creates preconditions for the graduate to perform the function of educator, leisure-time pedagogue, special pedagogue and - fter supplementary psychotherapeutic training - for the function of educator-therapist. They are also qualified for organisational and management work within the Prison Service of the Czech Republic.
Graduates of the Resocialisation Pedagogy programme will be employed in activities with persons of all ages (children, adults, seniors).
What do the entrance exams involve?
- The applicant must complete at least a bachelor's degree in humanities, with a pedagogical specialisation.
- The entrance exam takes the form of an oral interview, which includes a discussion of the bachelor's thesis, and in which the candidate demonstrates general knowledge in the field and professional literature. Applicants are expected to have knowledge of the basics of the humanities in the disciplines of pedagogy, psychology, philosophy, sociology, law and methodology of scientific research, as well as knowledge of social policy, multicultural education, educational policy, non-profit sector organisation, and lifelong learning system.
- If the completed bachelor's programme in the humanities does not have a pedagogical specialisation, the candidate will pass a bridging exam in the subject Basics of Pedagogy.

Full-time study has a fixed schedule on weekdays during mornings and/or afternoons. As a student, you will be on campus daily participating in seminars and lectures. You will have the status of student.
