In the course of the Master’s studies, you are going to deepen your knowledge of cultural heritage preservation with a focus on wall painting, sgraffito, mosaic and polychrome plaster and stone. You are going to learn how to understand a monument in a context, build up interdisciplinary cooperation and use critical thinking. Besides, you will gain essential theoretical knowledge through practical experience working on individual conservation/restoration commissions.
Graduates are ready to carry out surveys independently, conduct restoration and conservation works of extensive artworks, prepare materials for project documentation or participate in research projects. After completing the studies, graduates have an opportunity to apply for a Licence to conserve/restore national monuments with the Ministry of Culture and work as independent conservators/restorers. They can also find employment with the National Heritage Institute, research institutes, or companies specializing in cultural heritage preservation.
