What will you learn?
We will teach you to understand people and their needs, take care of a healthy and sick woman, a pregnant woman, a woman in labour and a newborn, and manage crises. You will get to know midwifery, gynaecology, obstetrics, and neonatology (i.e. the branch of paediatric medicine concerned with newborns). Moreover, you will understand the humanities, such as psychology, ethics, and sociology. We will show you how to conduct research and use its results in your field. You will get a general knowledge of a university-educated person.
Careers
You will qualify as a midwife and get your professional competence recognised in the Czech Republic and throughout the EU. You will be able to apply for a job in the EU. You will become an expert with job opportunities in hospitals, maternity homes, highly specialised centres, outpatient departments, and community care as well. You will be able to work both independently and in a team of other professionals.
