What will we teach you? By studying the branch of study English for Business, you will learn to communicate in English and Czech at an excellent level. You will gain the necessary knowledge in the field of linguistics, literature and culture, as well as knowledge in the field of professional translation and interpreting. Based on practical translation skills and the basics from economic-administrative disciplines, you will be able to work with English texts from various fields.
What will you become? As a graduate, you will have adequate communication skills in English, translation skills and a basic orientation in professional subjects such as management, marketing or law. You will have access to a wide range of job opportunities in, for example, translation agencies and newsrooms, in administration, national and regional government authorities, in companies dealing with foreign relations, in business companies or cultural foundations – that is, wherever an excellent knowledge of the English language is required.
What do the entrance exams involve?
Entrance exams are cancelled.
Applicants are required to submit the following as an attachment to the e-application by April 20, 2021:
- scanned copies of school reports from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year of the secondary school from both semesters in pdf format, OR a copy of a language exam certificate at least at the level B2 or higher, included in the list of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports available here. Do not send certificates other than those listed.
The certificate replaces the school report. Provide a copy of the certificate in pdf format. - link to motivational video monologue according to the set conditions.

Full-time study
Full-time study has a fixed schedule on weekdays during mornings and/or afternoons. As a student, you will be on campus daily participating in seminars and lectures. You will have the status of student.
