Graduates of the study programme History, specialisation Archaeology will acquire competencies enabling them to work in a professional historical department, or perform independent specialised activities, such as participating in the organisation of field excavation activities. They will be able to perform photo documentation and cataloguing of collection material for the record-keeping needs of professional institutions and for the cultural heritage agenda of state and municipal authorities. At present, there is a significant demand for graduates of this type of study at private companies conducting rescue archaeological research, so graduates will be prepared to pursue a profession in field archaeology.
