Academically oriented study programme focuses on acquiring theoretical knowledge needed for practising a profession. However, you will have enough opportunity for mastering the necessary practical skills as well. You will be verifying the theory in our modern laboratories as well as during extensive experience connected to our partners in industry.  

After graduating with a bachelor`s degree you will be able to continue in any type of a follow-up study programme, or decide to get a job. Selected graduates of a follow-up study programme may continue with a Ph.D. degree.

What will we teach you?

In the field of communications and radars you will gain unique knowledge in the areas of aircraft and other types of object detection and tracking. With this information, you will be able to design communication and location systems and their components. You will become familiar with the principles of localisation using satellite and ground-based navigation systems. You will be implementing your knowledge using modern laboratory equipment that is used by technological companies during their systems development and analysis. During your study you will meet many  experts with a practical background, and you will have an opportunity to choose the topic of your diploma thesis in cooperation with a company, or according to your involvement in research projects.

What will you become?

The study will offer you a wide range of opportunities in the field of safety and sensor technology with the emphasis on application in communication and radar systems. The acquired expertise will open the door to employment in technological companies oriented on communication  technology development or the area of object locating/tracking.

You will find positions mainly as an independent developer or system engineer in companies that deal with development, production, installation and operation of electronic machines, devices and systems for radar, and sensor technology, location systems, and information and communication systems. In the application sphere you may further work as a chief technical officer and systems specialist for research and development of electronic devices and systems.

In the case of standard study, study is not paid. If you study for more than 3 years, you pay for the first started 6 months CZK 15 000

Part-time study

Part-time form of study is suitable mainly for working students. It is based on a combination of controlled individual study with the use of distance learning supports and group tutorials.
