What will you learn?
You will become an educated engineer who can independently and promptly solve assigned tasks related to design activities or construction management of transport engineering structures with a focus on bridge structures, railway facilities and roads. We have new modern laboratories where you can try the implementation and evaluation of experiments and tests in specialised courses. In our computer classrooms we will teach you to work with special programmes from the branch of study. We will also be working in the field on construction sites. We will take you to transport facilities/constructions and ensure that you can also get to know experts from practice through the cooperation between companies and the Department of Transport Engineering.
Linking theory to practice
The lecturers will also be experts from practice. In addition, lessons take place in specialised laboratories and computer classrooms. As a student, you will be able to participate in the implementation of projects and grants. You will be able to apply the acquired knowledge and skills during professional field trips, internships and research fellowships in one of the many partner companies that the Department of Transport Engineering will provide.
Career
After graduating, you will have a choice of a large number of employment and career opportunities: as a civil and operational engineer in the field of transport engineering, a designer in the field of transport facilities, an employee of building authorities, or an employee of construction and design institutes. In the production sphere, you can work, for example, in the position of site preparation for construction projects, section construction manager, budgeter or construction supervisor, or bridge manager.
